The objective for case study 02 is to successfully identify the possible cause of a PSV that has popped prematurely.
I have attended quite a number of RCA and has lead several of them.
There a several numbers of RCA involves a prematurely popped PSV, so i turn to chatGPT i could get similar findings.
These are my steps.
1. Provide an image of a conventional type PSV, spring loaded for GPT Vision to analyze.
2. Prompt it to be a professional in PSV and related code and standard.
3. Ask basic questions and verify if answers are in-line.
4. Prompted - I have a PSV popped at 30barg instead of 38barg of its pressure setting. What do you think happen and which component is likely need to be repaired/service?
Results;
1. It gave me 10 possibilities such as Spring problems, Corrosion or Damage Seating surface, Incorrect adjustments, backpressure, foreign material among others.
All are valid in my opinion.
